The New Bee

Well, I moved into my new place five months ago and I’ve barely had time to look for any of the natives that might be living in the new yard.  I do miss all the species I had at the old adobe house, but I’m making the best of it.  So far our yard has had a squirrel, a cottontail, a variety of lizards, milkweed bugs and one night an owl was hooting.

This morning while watering the plants I turned around and came face to face with this little guy sound asleep on my struggling, leafless palo verde tree!
